Farming Practices

Farming Weird

We utilize double cropping by planting winter wheat in the late Fall and then planting a shorter maturing soybean variety after the wheat has been harvested in the summer.

This practice increases total yield from a single area by extending the growing season for multiple crops. It is also beneficial with year-round soil protection and decreases weeds.

Soil Sampling

A soil test can reveal a lack of essential nutrients like phosphorus and potassium or an excess, which can hinder plant growth. At Carpenter Farms, we assess the detail work so you can focus on the big picture. We'll visit your farm and collect soil samples to diagnose problems and identify nutrient deficiencies or excesses.

Field Days

Field Days are educational events held on a farm that showcases agricultural research, technology, and practices through demonstrations, presentations, and discussions.

The information that is gathered from test plots for our field days is gathered and put together in a detailed format. It will showcase the different tests and methods that each field was planted with.

Increase your yield!

We help farmers analyze soil nutrients and creating a specific plan for their farm to boost crop yields sustainably.
